Phase II of Discovery Park will include several new park amenities, including: a bike park and pump track illuminated ball fields restroom/concession stand building teen area with skate park, hammock poles, and sand volleyball an active area with bocce ball court, tennis and pickleball courts, a 4-yard dash challenge, and a basketball court picnic shelters paved walking paths and additional parking. The developed area of the park includes three picnic shelters, two softball fields, a playground, climbing wall and boulders, splash pad, sand/water play area, concessions stand, off-leash dog area, stage and event lawn, educational gardens, and walking paths. Playground Features: Play Structure, Toddler Play Structure, Idaho-Themed Interpretive Panels, Sand and Water Play Area, Nature-Themed Photo Station, Climbing Rocks, Climbing Wall, Zip Lines, Roller Slides, Hidden Creatures, Sand and Water Play Area, Splash Pad (seasonal)ĭiscovery Park Phase I includes a total of 77 acres, 27 of which are currently developed. Metered street parking is also available and is often more economical. Prices range from 10 per two hours and up. General Areas: Concessions Stand, Restrooms, Bike Racks, Drinking Fountains, Off-Street Parking, Open Play Area, Pathway, Performance Area with Shaded Stage, Specialty Gardens, Illuminated Ballfields, Off-Leash Dog Park The closest garage parking is Avenida Central. This expansion of Discovery Park, which broke ground in 2022, more than doubles the size of the existing park, bringing its total size to approximately 64 acres.
